Founded in 1983  by a local group of pastors and concerned citizens, ComfortCare Women ‘s Health began as The Pregnancy Help Center. This Staunton outreach began with a core of faithful Board members and volunteers.  The mission was clear– to save women and babies from the pain of uneducated reproductive choices. 

In 1996, a Waynesboro facility was added.  In 2005, this outreach became a medical clinic, hiring a full-time Nurse Manager and recruiting a Medical Director.  Today, over 15,000 teens and adults have been served by CCWH. This non-profit 501C-3 is supported by corporations, local businesses, individuals and over 75 churches.  The majority of CCWH’s workforce is provided by loyal volunteer staff.
